Practice sign-up
First: identify yourself.
We need to know who is registering the practice, and you will sign the agreement later with the same electronic ID. That way you never type your own kennitala and it cannot come out wrong.
This uses Icelandic rafræn skilríki (electronic ID). You need an Icelandic kennitala to operate a healthcare practice here, so the person who signs will have one — but if your electronic ID is not set up yet, write to us and we will find another way.
Would you rather ask us something first? Write to konkret@konkret.is.
Tell us about the practice.
We set Konkret up for you. The more you fill in, the less there is to configure afterwards, but only the first two sections are required: the practice itself and whoever signs. Everything else can be skipped and settled later.
No client information here. Kennitölur, email addresses and phone numbers belonging to clients never go in email or in this form. They go straight into Konkret, and only once the practice is running.
The agreement itself is in Icelandic. The service agreement and the data processing agreement are governed by Icelandic law and published at konkret.is/skilmalar. This form is a translation for filling in; it is not the contract. Ask us and we will walk you through the terms in English before you sign.
Thank you. We have your sign-up.
We will go through it and get in touch by email.
- We review the details and set the practice up.
- You get the service agreement and the data processing agreement as one document, with a link where you can read them before signing.
- You sign with electronic ID, and only then does the practice exist in the system.
One thing you have to do yourselves. Changing health-record system has to be reported to the Directorate of Health (Embætti landlæknis). You send the notification through the Directorate's service portal, and an overview of notifications about operating a healthcare service is on island.is. We help with everything that concerns the system itself, but the notification comes from the operator.
